Nothing could sum me up right NOW more than those last two quotes. A challenge I have faced all my life is not being able to let go. Now I can. I love Stuart Wilde's candor - "I wouldn't stand for that BS if I were you." LOL. Bravo!!

You know, we fall into the trap of thinking that once we accomplish bypassing our ego that everything becomes easier. Not so. In my opinion, that is where the real work begins because without the ego to cushion us, we are left facing our true selves. Warts and all. Experiences and triumphs. All the things that make us who we are...it can be a mind-blowing journey that makes us want to run back into our egos for protection. We face our ultimate truths when we face ourselves. The effort we put in is rewarded with authenticity. We find a deeper security based on inner peace. This makes the process worthwhile.

To have ego is to be human and vice versa. Without it we are pure spirit. Pure spirit is not human, pure spirit manifests the human, which entails the human body, the human mind, the human emotion and the human ego. We are not to rid ourselves of ego. We are to love ego as we are to love our minds, emotions and body. To attempt to bypass the ego is ego attempting to bypass itself. We cannot bypass ego as much as we cannot bypass being human. We can only change our ego's priorities. Ego will continue it's drive throughout your lifetime. Ego may feel comfortable and peaceful in spiritual pursuits while denying itself. It will tell you that it isn't there anymore, that it has become bypassed, because it doesn't need the body to look attractive, or it doesn't need a fancy car or house, that it focuses on peace, that it gives love to all, that it is connected to the source, that it IS the source. It is still ego, because it is still in the human - you. Simply love it. Allow it to exist. Refrain from attempting to bypass it. It is part of you, honour it.
