The full moon in 21 Libra, Thursday, April 9 at 10:56 AM Eastern time, falls on Passover, which celebrates our liberation from bondage. The ancient Jews knew that for liberation to be genuine, we not only have to free ourselves from outward oppressors, but even more, from the places we oppress ourselves. This is the real test of freedom-not, have you gotten away from your persecutors, but have you unearthed the places within yourself where you took on their roles? Many of us have been victim of abuse of one sort or another, in childhood, in previous relationships, in past lives. The real tragedy of these experiences is how in later years we internalize the abuse, continuing, on some micro inner level, to perpetrate the same abuse to ourselves that others once did. As the full moon in Libra shines its potent light on our relationships, we now have a chance to restore balance, by letting ourselves off the hook, and refusing to grant anybody else the power over our destinies. This is a liberating moon designed to highlight places where you're holding something against yourself or somebody else, so that you can release.
