| It's late here and I'm about to crash, so I don't have too much time to delve into this, but it's something I found in a thread in ATS. Apparently the coast and borders of the US are part of an area where the government takes extraordinary liberties in stopping and searching people - a "constitution-free zone" if you will. Read it here: http://www.aclu.org/privacy/spying/areyoulivinginaconstitutionfreezone.htmlAnd do post here if you can find any more info. | |

| "Some states are considered to lie completely within the zone: Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont." I'm in Rhode Island and next door to Massachusettes and I've never heard of this. Will keep my eyes open for sure. Just reading through that site now. Looks interesting. | |
