Hmmm, an interesting concept. I think though that 'soul awareness' happens when we simply step back from 'surface consciousness.' What we need to obtain this is a psychological trick, a symbolic trigger or inspiration of some kind. I've read that sometimes a man who seeks a spiritual awakening may be led by a shaman to a waterfall, which is of course cold and very forceful. The man will be told to close his eyes and relax. Suddenly he will be pulled under the force of the water, and BAM--his consciousness is shot away from his body, to a deeper realm! That is a rather harsh method and not one I'd ever want to do. Meditation works too. Focusing on opposites may also help, because it is bending your perception (thus opening yourself to the soul's perspective.) Simply, whenever the surface consciousness is pulled away, distracted or dissolved, the soul consciousness awakes through your mind.
