Flashing on the Future
Jupiter enhances whatever it touches, and Uranus shakes off what’s limiting so there’s freedom and a sense of infinite possibility. Together they propel us forward on the evolutionary path. There are two Jupiter-Uranus conjunctions in 2010! In the midst of the intensity of the grand cross, these conjunctions punch the accelerator into the new.
First there’s a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Aries on June 8th. This gives you a burst of self-motivating energy, will, courage and physical vitality. The defiance of youth makes its presence known en masse. What’s been dormant in the collective wakes up, and demands to be expressed.
The next conjunction – on September 18th -- is in Pisces, as both Uranus-Jupiter retrograde back to the last sign of the Zodiac. This causes sparks to fly in the collective imagination. The global heart and its shared emotional experiences are awakened to its own power. This is a time of phenomenal growth for the artist, dreamer and mystic in you.
Your Personal Quantum Leaps
A quantum leap is a growth spurt or event that defies logic. It reflects the mysterious x-factor of Uranus where spontaneous ideas or instinctual surges just happen. You act on them because they make sense in a way you can’t explain. Probably you weren’t expecting or wishing for it.
Uranus is a zigzaggy planet that is known to bring life-changing events. We may name them “good” or “bad,” but really they are just things that happen, or we make happen. It’s often innovative, a sudden detour, a genius idea. It’s like a vinyl record skipping its groove, and picking back up in another spot on the song. You get scuttled toward your destiny, sometimes in a shocking way.
Which Life Area?
Look to the houses of your birth chart where Jupiter-Uranus are making their conjunctions. The first is at 0 degrees Aries (June 8th) and the second is at 28 degrees Pisces (Sept 18th). These life areas will likely expand exponentially. This is where you’ll express your genius. Surprises of all kinds happen here.

Oftentimes Uranus transits are unsettling, says the awesome astrologer CJ Wright of Auntie Moon. Writes CJ,"These transits also have the capacity to make us look somewhat foolish because our behavior is so out of the ordinary and unexpected. People say things like, "I never thought in a million years that So-And-So would...(fill in the blank)."
