| Molly Hall About.com Sacred Days Tuesday September 7, 2010 The Moon is in Virgo, http://astrology.about.com/od/themoon/qt/TrMoonVirgo.htm, in its holy time of the lights going out -- at the Dark Moon. Last night, in this very rural place, I turned off my flashlight, and it was pitch black. I couldn't even see the dirt road. That kind of dark is vast and disorienting. At the Dark Moon, we enter that open psychic terrain. There's a threesome in Virgo now (Sun, Moon, Mercury), and with the latter's retrograde, there's a real watch your step vibe. I've been hearing of setbacks, minor accidents, and low-grade health problems coming to the forefront in a bigger way. The Dark of the Moon is a time to slow down, and many like to meet the moment in a reverent way. You might rest more, or make a New Moon Collage. New Moon Collage Link: http://astrology.about.com/od/themoon/ss/NewMoonCollage.htm Like with a flashlight, we lose our usual sight, but gain access to a mysteriously infinite landscape. Though it's dark, we're able to see with the intuitive eye, what we missed before. What comes through, with Virgo, are messages about how to heal, purify, or simply live (work, living arrangements, access to clean water/air/soil). The New Moon in Virgo is September 8th at 6:30 am Eastern US/ 10:30 am GMT. | |
