Spiritual pathways

"In any way that men love me in that same way they find my love: for many are the paths of men, but they all in the end come to me."

-- Song of God, Bhagavad Gita

Spirit - the life force - exists in everything. It follows, then, that ANY path, any encounter is spiritual if we have the awareness to see it as such. Going deeper, going higher, emptying, connecting, believing or disbelieving, bouncing off the bottom, experiencing the heights, in pain, in ecstasy ....

Too often, we search afar for our own purpose when it is in our lives all the time, waiting for us to express it more openly. Bring greater awareness to each encounter and situation in life. Tune in to what you are inspired to do, who you are inspired to be. Your answers are waiting for you to pay attention - every moment!

"...focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it."

-- Greg Anderson

Ah yes, that last quote by Greg Anderson is a bit contradictory for often it is not until we are reviewing what we have achieved that we realise we were happy while doing it. And the reason why is because we were focused on what we were doing and not thinking about our feelings at the time. Let joy be the reason for all your journeys and see the difference. How many times do we set out from a sense of duty or responsibility and find ourselves in automatic pilot mode just going through the motions and getting the task done without truly engaging in the actions on a spiritual level? And then later we have regrets or resentment that our time could have been used better...and yet everything we do is charged with spirit and purpose or it would not exist. It all comes down to our thoughts and how we choose to react to what we do. Sounds simple doesn't it? And yet it is not. To apply the principle takes alot more than you think. We are sabotaged by our egos and misconceptions of what spirit truly is. And it is only when we realise the contradictions that exist, or perhaps a better word is parallaxes that govern spiritualism that we truly begin to comprehend how wrong or misguided we have been about what is spirit and the path we have been following thinking we were on our way to ascension...
