| July 16, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Secret Door XI: In the 11th edition of our Secret Door special, five guests made surprise appearances during the evening, with callers initially trying to guess who they were by identifying their voices. First through the door was investigative mythologist William Henry who talked about some of his recent travels, including a trip to see the Shroud of Turin, and a visit to James Gilliland's ranch, where a large group of people witnessed a UFO ( video clip), after Gilliland conducted a "clearing" ceremony. Henry also discussed stargates, and how different cities such as Dallas and Detroit are featuring public art that references stargate shapes or portals. After fooling everyone with a strange robotic voice, psychic Joseph Jacobs popped in next. "America drifted into a wonderful and productive year starting this July 4th," he said, though "August can be a time of terror." He spoke about using "I am" affirmations, such as "I am finding a job I like," or "I am working with people I like," as a way of bringing positive energy into one's life. "I am is the name of God and so you are in a sense inviting God to be inside of you," he added. In a dual appearance through the door, the 'Psychic Twins,' Terry & Linda Jamison shared some predictions for the rest of this year and beyond. They see a number of health breakthroughs on the horizon including treatments for autism, Alzheimer's, and cancer. They foresee a stock market "correction" (not a crash) in September/October, two major hurricanes in the Atlantic/Gulf Coast region, and big fire in Texas (possibly in August). The two also talked about their use of automatic writing, and work with spirit guides-- interestingly, they noted that it's possible to "fire" a spirit guide. Author Bob Curran was last through the secret door, and discussed his new book Dark Fairies, which details how folklore has sometimes depicted fairies as dangerous creatures who were to be feared. They were known for stealing children and leaving strange "changelings" behind, trying to fool the parents. He also talked about his research into vampires and werewolves, both seeing a resurgence of interest in popular culture. Vampires evoke eroticism, and a longing for immortality, while werewolves tap into a primal beast or hunter within us, he commented. Today in Strangeness: The Atomic Age began on this day in 1945 when the United States exploded its first experimental atomic bomb at the Trinity site near Alamogordo, NM. Speaking of explosions, on July 16, 1994, Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 collided with Jupiter, with impacts continuing until July 22nd. | July 20, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Forbidden Archaeology: On Monday night, unorthodox researcher Michael Cremo discussed his continuing work in forbidden archaeology, exploring the artifacts and discoveries that don't fit into conventional timelines and theories. He first encountered the idea of "extreme human antiquity" while studying the ancient wisdom traditions, particularly the ancient Sanskrit texts of India. "I found hundreds of reports of archaeological evidence...human bones, human artifacts, and human footprints many millions of years old," he detailed. For instance, Mary Leakey discovered human footprints 3.5 million years old that are very much like modern human footprints, in contrast to the fossil skeleton of "Lucy," from around the same era which has feet that are more ape-like. This type of evidence led Cremo to conclude that Darwinian evolution was wrong, and that Homo sapiens co-existed with earlier proto-humans. He shared details about William Meister's discovery of an apparent human shoe print in a slab of rock in Utah which also contained a crushed trilobite fossil in the bottom of the print. Cremo noted that such trilobites date back to a period of around 600 million years ago. Even more ancient are metallic balls with grooved sides found in an African mine, which are over 2 billion years old, he said. Cremo also spoke about "vimanas," flying craft described in ancient Sanskrit. Some of the vehicles were constructed of metal and were seen in the physical dimension, while others were made of more subtle essences and traveled in ethereal realms, he recounted. According to the 20th century channeled book Vaimanika Shastra some of the vimanas had mercury-based propulsion systems. A text from around 1,000 years ago on ancient Indian architecture supports this notion, and also described the ancient use of robots, he noted. Oil Spill Update: First hour guest, Earth changes expert Mitch Battros talked about the latest developments with the oil spill. He believes the well will have to be uncapped because too much pressure/seepage is occurring within the six-mile reservoir of oil/gas. BP would prefer to keep it capped as long as possible as this saves them money, he added. Pic Fix: In the mood for something bizarre and somewhat gruesome? Then check out this gallery of the World's Weirdest X-rays, which includes the abdomen of a patient who swallowed two forks, a ballpoint pen, and a toothbrush! Today in Strangeness: Neil Armstrong took his first steps on the moon, 41 years ago today. On this date in 1970, the first (and only) baby was born on Alcatraz Island, during an occupation by American Indians. Tonight's Show, Tuesday, July 20th: Paranormal researcher Rosemary Ellen Guiley will be joined by UFO investigator Philip Imbrogno for a discussion on their forthcoming book about the Djinn, secretive entities that can masquerade as demons or angels. | |

| July 21, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio The Djinn & Paranormal Phenomena: On Tuesday's show, paranormal researcher R osemary Ellen Guiley and UFO investigator Philip Imbrogno discussed their forthcoming book about the djinn (or jinn), secretive entities that may play a role in a variety of paranormal phenomena. The beings exist in a parallel dimension to ours but seem to have the ability to enter our dimension via portals and interact with us and observe us even when we cannot see them, said Imbrogno. Accounts of them began in the ancient Middle East, where an assortment of beings who were not considered angels, such as fairies and earth spirits, were classified as djinn. King Solomon was said to enslave some of them to help build his temple, he added. Guiley described the djinn as masterful shape-shifters who sometimes masquerade as entities like Shadow People, demons, ETs, and Mothman. They can be thought of as tricksters who have their own self-serving agenda, which for some involves domination over humans and the earthly plane, she said. Guiley further suggested that intense, persistent, or annoying ghostly phenomena like poltergeists may actually be the work of the djinn, rather than spirits of the deceased. The djinn are very territorial and some of the unexplained phenomena people experience may occur near the locations of their portals, she explained. Imbrogno recounted details of his research into the djinn that he conducted in the Middle East in the mid 1990s. He was taken to an enormous cave in Oman called the "Meeting Place of the Djinn," and as he was rappelling into the cave, his tour guides took off, after hearing voices of the djinn telling them to leave. A local told him that after he encountered a female djinn while hiking in the mountains, he was apprehended by Saudi Arabian government agents who debriefed him at a base and were interested in learning about the dimensional abilities of the djinn. Imbrogno noted that this was similar to US govt. involvement in a UFO incident in Pine Bush, NY. NASA & Oil Spill: First hour guest, Richard C. Hoagland talked about the 41st anniversary of the Moon Landing, and the decline of NASA since that era. We don't have the technology at our disposal to fix the Gulf oil spill, and "that's what happens when you put a shining jewel like NASA on the back burner for 30 years, from the end of Apollo till now, and not keep it where you need it, because you never know what you might need it for. Technology is the way we live or die on this planet," he commented. Pic Fix: Bizarre, never-seen-before, deep sea creatures have been photographed below the Great Barrier Reef. Check out this gallery of images, which includes the haunting eyes of an amphipod crustacean, and the insect-like appendages of the cantering isopod. Today in Strangeness: On around this date in 356 BC, Herostratus set fire to the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. He committed the act in a quest for fame. A rain of ants fell on Nancy, France on July 21, 1887. The world's lowest temperature, -129°F, was recorded at Vostok Station, Antarctica on today's date in 1983. Tonight's Show, Wednesday, July 21st: Dr. Jerry Tennant will discuss Dr. Robert Becker’s work The Body Electric and how it helped him cure himself of an untreatable medical condition using voltage, which is not part of the current medical paradigm. Dr. Mark Starr will join the discussion. | |

| July 22, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Voltage & Health: On Wednesday's show, Dr. Jerry Tennant talked about how he developed a method of using voltage to diagnose and treat a variety of health problems. A successful eye surgeon, he came down with encephalitis, and it was during this period that he correlated lowered voltage in specific body areas with illness. Pain is actually a symptom of abnormal voltage, and "all you have to do to get rid of it is insert enough electrons to get the voltage back up into the operating range," he said. Dr. Tennant has developed a device called the Biomodulater which can transfer the electrons to cell membranes. Many ailments referred to as auto-immune are not caused by the body attacking itself, but from bacteria releasing digestive enzymes that get into the bloodstream and attack low voltage areas, he explained. Dr. Mark Starr, who has studied with Dr. Tennant, joined the discussion to talk about how he was successfully treated with the Biomodulater, and how hyothyroidism ( previous show recap) is often associated with low voltage. A lot of the hypothyroidism is due to fluoride exposure, Tennant added. He also pointed toward root canals as a source of health problems-- one infected root canal can shut down 63% of the immune system, he cited. Another cause of having low voltage is not having enough stomach acid (sometimes brought about by a deficiency of iodine and zinc), he detailed. New Finance Regulations: First hour guest, investment advisor Catherine Austin Fitts shared her critical reaction to the new financial regulations just signed into law. "We have a couple thousand pages of legislation from the federal government" that still doesn't account for the $4 trillion missing from federal accounts. And the new regulations will essentially increase the amount of centralization, and give vast new powers to the Federal Reserve, she cautioned. Pic Fix: Though perhaps small compared to the BP oil disaster, a pipeline explosion in the northeastern port city of Dalian, China has caused the release of thousands of gallons of oil. The Big Picture captures the pipeline blast and resulting oil slick in a series of riveting images. Today in Strangeness: The Reverend William Archibald Spooner was born on today's date in 1844. The lecturer became known for what are now called ' spoonerisms,' slips of the tongue where the consonants of words are reversed. One of his flubs was issued as he officiated at a wedding: "Son, it is now kisstomary to cuss the bride." Tonight's Show, Thursday, July 22nd: In the first half of the show, criminal profiler Pat Brown discusses serial killers, and several different murder and missing persons cases in the news right now. | |

| July 23, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Criminal Profiling: In the first half of Thursday's show, criminal profiler Pat Brown discussed profiling techniques, and a variety of serial killer and murder cases. She first got interested in profiling when a man she was renting a room to turned out to be murder suspect. More profilers are needed to look at cases, especially when they are fresh, she noted. A serial killer is defined as someone who kills at least three times with some down time in between murders, she explained, adding that there are more serial killers than one would imagine-- probably 4 or 5 in any major city. Such killers tend to have a disdainful attitude toward society, and are motivated to kill because of the enjoyment they get from the power and control, she detailed. In the case of Jeffrey Dahmer's cannibalism, his control went on even after his victims were dead, Brown suggested. Not all serial killers are men-- occasionally mothers kill their children, such as with the case of Marybeth Tinning, who successively murdered all nine of her children because she liked the attention she got surrounding their deaths. Brown cautioned especially needy single people to not be too gullible or get involved too quickly when an attractive new person suddenly comes into their life. It can turn out to be a 'Black Widow'-type situation, in which the person is after their money, or in the case of molester, after their children. Active Dreaming: In the latter half of the program, Robert Moss, the pioneer of Active Dreaming, talked about whether we can we really "hack" into dreams like in the new movie Inception, and the concept of " shared dreaming." While Inception has created a buzz around lucid or shared dreaming, it depicts its usage for espionage and negative purposes. Though such psychic intrusions are possible, Moss said, his focus has been on the positive qualities of dreaming, such as practiced in the shamanic tradition. "Dreaming is not fundamentally about sleep, it's fundamentally about waking up...You don't have to go to sleep in order to dream," he declared. He has developed techniques for people to became active, conscious participants in their dreams, and enter shared dreams together, such as through shamanic drumming, which helps the mind screen out distractions. He also cited the hypnagogic state (between dreaming and waking) as a hotbed for creativity. Moss gave examples of how it can be helpful to consciously face dream adversaries, which can lead to powerful resolutions or transformations. In terms of dream analysis, he stressed the importance of examining one's first feelings upon waking from a specific dream. Today in Strangeness: Happy Neptunalia! Little is known about this ancient Roman festival of Neptune (the god of waters), held on July 23rd, except that the people built huts of branches and foliage in which "they probably feasted, drank, and amused themselves." On this day in 1995, the National Inventors Hall of Fame opened in Akron, Ohio. Coast to Coast AM Schedule 7.23.10 - 7.29.10: Here's what we have coming up in the next week! | Subject: Dreaming the Secret Wishes of the Soul Fri Jul 23, 2010 9:57 pm | |
| Dreaming the Secret Wishes of the Soul by Robert Moss One of the greatest gifts of dreaming is that it puts us in touch with soul. It takes us beyond the limited understanding of the everyday self and shows us who we are, what our soul’s purpose is in this life experience and what our heart truly yearns for. There is a word for this vital function of dreams in the language of the Huron, a dreaming people of North America. The word is ondinnonk, and it means a "secret wish of the soul", especially as revealed in dreams. This expression takes us to the heart of healing. By connecting with our dreams, and celebrating and acting on the information they gift to us, we bring the energy and magic of soul into our daily lives. As we allow our big dreams to take root in this world, we become whole and well, and start living our deeper story. As we help others to honor and celebrate their soul guidance, as revealed in dreams, we become healers and dreambringers. Ancient dream healers understood that we are often out of touch, in our surface minds, with our deepest truths and our heart’s desires. Not knowing who we are, forgetting our soul’s purpose, we do terrible harm to ourselves and others. Dreams invite us to get back on the right track, the soul’s track. I learned about this many years ago when I asked for dream guidance in support of a narrow, ego-driven agenda. I wanted inspiration for a commercial potboiler, a thriller that would follow the formula of a successful previous novel I had published. In my dream, I found myself in a banquet hall where a lavish feast for hundreds of people was being prepared in my honor. But there was a problem. In the dream restaurant, the master chef had walked out in disgust because he was bored with my menu. The message, on waking, was clear. If I persisted in repeating myself – in using my creative gifts for a limited purpose – my deepest creative energy (the "master chef" of the dream) would bow out; the soul and its magic would be missing. I abandoned a major book project because that dream showed me it wasn’t "major" in the ways that serve the soul. Dreaming not only renews our understanding of the soul’s purpose; it can literally bring the soul back home. From the shaman’s perspective, soul loss is the root cause of much illness and affliction in our lives. We suffer deep grief, heartbreak or abuse or trauma – and maybe then succumb to negative habits and addictions – and a part of our vital soul energy goes away. Chronic depression, lethargy, memory gaps, low resistance to illness and emotional numbness are among the most frequent symptoms of soul loss. Our dreams can tell us which parts of ourselves may be missing, and when it is timely to bring them home. Recurring dreams in which we go back to a scene from our earlier lives may indicate that a part of us has remained there. Dreams in which we perceive a younger self as a separate individual may be nudging us to recognize and recover a part of ourselves we lost at that age. Sometimes we do not know who that beautiful child is – until we take a closer look. There is a marvelous story in my book Dreamgates about what happened when a woman went back into a dream of a beautiful five-year-old in a red coat, and found herself fusing at the heart, in a blaze of light, with the part of herself she had lost at age five through family trauma. Unfortunately, a common effect of soul loss is dream loss. Indeed the absence of dream recall is often a primary symptom of soul loss – as if the part of the sufferer that knows how to dream and travel in deeper reality has gone away, out of pain or disgust. It is fascinating and deeply rewarding to observe what can happen when people who have forgotten how to dream start dreaming again. This can amount to spontaneous soul recovery. A middle-aged woman approached me for help. She told me, "I feel I have lost the part of me that can give trust and know joy." As preparation for our meeting, I asked her to start a dream journal, although she had told me she had not remembered her dreams for many years. When she came to see me, she had succeeded in capturing just one tiny fragment from a dream. She remembered that she was standing over a table, looking at three large-size "post-it" notes. Each had a typed message. But the ink had faded and she could not read the messages. Slowly and carefully, I helped her to relax and encouraged her to try to go back inside her dream. Quite quickly, she found herself inside a room in the house where she had lived with her ex-husband prior to their divorce, almost twenty years before. Now she could read the typed messages. The first read in bold capitals, "YOU CAN DO IT." They were all about living with heart, and trusting life. She realized that she had left her ability to love and to trust in that room for nearly twenty years. I asked her what she needed to do. She told me, "I need to bring my heart out of that room and put it back in my body." She gathered up the messages and made the motion of bringing them into her heart. As her hands crossed over the place of her heart, we both saw a sweet and gentle light shine out from her heart center. She trembled, eyes shining, and told me, "Something just came back. Something that was missing for twenty years." In the most literal sense, dreaming can make us whole. It not only connects us with lost or buried aspects of ourselves. It connects us with our larger identity – our Higher Self – and our larger purpose. Honoring the secret wishes of the soul, as involved in dreams, requires us to learn some simple and powerful strategies that are central to my dream workshops: Opening to dream guidance Start a dream journal, if you are not keeping one already, and resolve to catch your dreams and write up your dream reports, giving each dream a title. You’ll find it very rewarding to dream with intention. Before going to sleep, write down a question or issue on which you would like some guidance. This can be specific ("Should I change my job?") or general and open-hearted ("I open myself to the power of healing"). If you remember dreams from the night, se how they might relate back to your intention. Learn simple steps to clarify dream messages The all-important keys are (a) trust your feelings (b) run a reality check and (c) go back inside your dream to get more information. Your feelings, on first waking up, are an instant and usually impeccable guide to the general quality and urgency of the dream. Running a reality check means checking how elements in the dream relate to your waking life and – especially – checking to see whether the dream may be giving you a window into possible future events in waking reality. We dream future events quite often, though few of us pay attention and fewer still are alive to the interesting possibility that if you can see the (possible) future you may be able to take action to change the future for the better. (This is the theme of my recent book Dreaming True.) Finally, the best way to understand the full meaning of a dream is to learn to go back inside it, as you might step back into a room, take a good look around (while fully alert and conscious), and maybe talk to someone in the scene or dream the dream onward to healing or resolution. Open a safe space to share and celebrate dreams with others When we know that dreams show the wishes of the soul, we will surely want to support each other in honoring this guidance. Start sharing dreams with a friend, by email if necessary. Never presume to tell the other person what his or her dreams mean. Start by encouraging your partner to tell the dream as simply and clearly as possible, give it a title. Ask what the dreamer felt when she first woke up. Ask her to run a reality check to see whether there are messages about current situations in waking life, or possible future events. Then offer your own thoughts and associations in a gentle way by always saying "if it were my dream" rather than laying down the law. Finally, ask your partner what she can now do – in a practical, positive way – to honor the dream and act on its guidance. With a little practice, you’ll find safe ways to bring dream-sharing to larger groups and start building a dream community. An office that starts the day with dream-sharing is a vastly more lively and creative space! Always do something with your dreams! Real dreamwork is about energy – about bringing vital energy from a deeper reality into the daylight world. In my workshops, we turn our dreams into stories, drawings and songs; we stage spontaneous dream theatre; and we agree on action plans to work with the guidance of our dreams and the powers that speak to us in dreams. Sharing a dream with another person is already a step towards action. Writing yourself a personal motto inspired by a dream – a bumper sticker – is a further step. Buy the red shoes, make the phone call, plant those flowers, study the transformations of the Goddess or the Bear in myth and art, as your dreams may guide you, and you are taking a longer step on the road of soul, the only road to walk. Robert Moss is a world-renowned dream explorer, a shamanic counselor, a bestselling novelist and a former professor of ancient history. His many books include Conscious Dreaming, Dreamgates, Dreaming True and the novel The Firekeeper. He has recorded the popular Sounds True audio course Dream Gates: A Journey into Active Dreaming. Born in Australia, he survived a series of near-death experiences in childhood. When he moved to upstate New York in the mid-1980s, he started dreaming in a language he did not know which proved to be an archaic form of the Mohawk language (which he subsequently studied to interpret his dreams). He teaches courses in Active Dreaming – his original synthesis of dreamwork and shamanic techniques – all over the world. He is leading a 5-day course, "The Temple of Dream Healing" at the Esalen Institute at Big Sur, CA from September 16-21, and a weekend Shamanic Dreaming intensive in the San Francisco area from November 10-11.For further information, visit his website at www.mossdreams.com. | |

| July 24, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Gulf Oil Spill & Climate Change: Filling in for George, Art Bell was joined by Professor Peter Ward for a 4-hour discussion on how the Gulf oil catastrophe ties in with climate change. Ward believes BP significantly underestimated the amount of oil that was released from their deep sea well, and worries about the environmental impact of not only the spill but the cleanup efforts also. Chemical dispersants, which have helped break apart the surface oil, are potentially destructive to the cell walls of microorganisms at the base of the marine food chain, he explained. The heavier part of the oil spreading across the sea floor will eventually break down into poisonous hydrogen sulfide gas, Ward continued. Massive quantities of methane, also a byproduct of the leaked oil, will ultimately end up in the atmosphere where it will contribute to increased temperatures across the planet, he added. Ward said he considers the global warming debate settled -- greenhouse gases are making Earth hotter. Evidence in the geological record indicates that during epochs of high carbon dioxide levels (1000 ppm), temperatures were high enough to completely melt the continental ice sheets. As the planet's current average CO2 level approaches 400ppm, Ward theorized what would happen if all of the ice on Greenland melted. According to this disaster scenario, the sea levels would rise 24 feet and cause an unimaginable worldwide calamity. A sea level increase of only 3 feet, which Ward thinks could happen within 40 years, would be enough to destroy considerable portions of the planet's agricultural land, cause nations to seek arable land in other countries, and lead to wars and potentially nuclear exchanges, he noted. Ward spent several weeks in Antarctica, where he discovered that, despite its name, the permafrost is melting. He described another, perhaps more frightening, climate disaster scenario involving the collapse of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet. According to Ward, this ice sheet could break off within a decade and cause 20 feet of sea level rise -- enough to kill a billion people. Should some of his worst fears come to fruition, Ward expects Russia and Canada to emerge as the flooded world's new Wheat Belt. Ward also spoke about the Sun's inconsequential contribution to global warming, as well as possible solutions to the problem, including painting rooftops white, burying charcoal in the soil, putting iron in the Pacific to cause phytoplankton to bloom, and most importantly, reducing the population of the planet. | July 30, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio UFOs & Strange Lights: On Thursday night, investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe presented new witness testimony in the Rendlesham Forest UFO case, and discussed anomalous lights photographed near crop circles, and an update on honey bee deaths. In a two-segment report, she interviewed Monroe Nevels, who worked as a Staff Sgt. for RAF Bentwaters Disaster Preparedness during the December 1980 UFO incident. "I was told that an airman had been abducted by a spacecraft" from Rendlesham forest, Nevels revealed, speaking on the record for the first time. He detailed his monitoring of low gamma radiation found in the forest soil tripod marks left by the UFO, and noted that trees within the circular radius of the craft were scorched. Nevels also described seeing lights that were like pencil-thin laser beams which could rapidly jump from one location to another. For more, see Earthfiles reports, Parts 1 & 2. In her update on honey bee deaths and Colony Collapse Disorder, she interviewed Jerry Hayes, with the Florida Dept. of Agriculture, who said that recent headlines suggesting cell phones were responsible for the honey bee problems were misguided and based on shoddy research. A more likely culprit is the strange fungus-like microorganism, Nosema cerenae, which destroys the gut lining of honey bee digestive tracts, he noted. Nicotine-based pesticides could also be weakening or stressing the bees. In her last report, she talked about yellow-orange lights photographed in the Guy's Cliffe, Warwickshire recent wheat formation, a formation that the many investigators have called "extraordinary." The images were taken by Andrew Pyrka, who described seeing three spheres of light that were "almost like phosphorus burning at high intensity." Linda also shared details of another recent sighting of mysterious orange lights, this time at Knap Hill, in Wiltshire, UK, and discussed the UFO incident at Hangzhou, China. UFO Update: First hour guest, Peter Davenport, the Director of the Natl. UFO Reporting Center, shared updates. There has been a cluster of dramatic sightings over the last seven weeks-- overt displays of "multiple objects seen over populated areas and witnessed by many people. I don't believe I've seen a phenomenon like that since I started this job 16 years ago," he declared. He also talked about his proposal ( PDF file) to use a passive radar system to detect UFOs in real time. Today in Strangeness: On this day in 1838, a rain of frogs fell in London. This date also saw the disappearance of Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa (1975), and the very first car ad, which beckoned magazine readers to "dispense with a horse" (1898). | Subject: Miraculous Moments: Sun Aug 01, 2010 1:24 pm | |
| July 31, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Miraculous Moments: During the first half of the program, George Noory welcomed author Elissa Al-Chokhachy, who discussed some of the 'miraculous moments' of after-life communication that she has collected via her work as a hospice nurse. Al-Chokhachy described such events as "a moment of grace which reassures us that life does continue on beyond physical death." She recalled one tale where a woman was dying and, just prior to her death, she saw her five-year-old grandson, who was killed in a tragic gun accident. The dying woman described the boy as "smiling and waving," Al-Chokhachy marveled. The sighting, she said, not only brought hope to the grandmother but comforted the whole family which had been haunted by the accident for years. Al-Chokhachy was skeptical of the idea that these incidents are merely the product of a dying patient's mind, because it is often the healthy, bereaved relatives who have the experiences. To that end, she told the story of a grandmother who promised to communicate with her granddaughter after she passed away. After her death, the grandmother did appear to the little girl, who was "wide awake and as lucid as can be." Based on her experience in the field, Al-Chokhachy declared that the "vast majority" of hospice workers are believers in some kind of afterlife. She attributed this belief to their frequent presence around the dying process and remarked that "you can't not believe" after the stories continue to accumulate. These 'miraculous moments' are so pervasive, Al-Chokhachy said, that she is constantly told stories from hospice workers who have either had their own experiences or heard tales from their co-workers. "I used to think this was just an occasional thing that happened," reflected Al-Chokhachy, "but everywhere I go, somebody tells me a story." Open Lines: The latter half of the show was devoted to Open Lines and included a number of callers who shared their stories of 'miraculous moments.' Evan in Toronto recalled having a dream that his best friend Eric had died. Although they laughed about the dream the next day, a few months later Evan received word, while traveling overseas, that Eric had passed away. His friend would later come to him in another dream and said that he was sad about his father, who was dying of cancer. When Evan woke up, he found out that Eric's father had, indeed, died that night. Dianne in Long Beach, California told the story of rushing to her mother's bedside as she was clinging to life. Despite a three-hour trek to get there, her mother was still alive when she arrived, much to the surprise of the hospice nurse. Upon finding out the date, Dianne expressed sadness that her mother would die on the seventh of November, since she really loved the number eight. However, the nurse was doubtful that Dianne's mother could hang on past midnight. Remarkably, she did persevere, and subsequently passed away on November 8th, 2008 at 12:08 AM. Weekend Bookworm: It's a phenomenon that has, until now, been relegated to the periphery of the paranormal: the strange influence some people seem to have on streetlights. However, esoteric researcher Hilary Evans puts the phenomenon front and center with his new book SLIders: The Enigma of Streetlight Interference. Providing both eyewitness accounts to the SLI phenomenon as well as theories for what causes it, SLIders is sure to be a must-read book for anyone puzzled by this strange paranormal "ability." Today in Strangeness: On this date in 1930, the radio mystery program The Shadow aired for the first time. On July 31, 1954, an official announcement was made by researchers that Los Angeles smog was caused by the chemical reaction of sunlight on auto and industrial emissions. And on this day in 1964, the first close-up photographs of the moon were sent back to Earth by Ranger 7. Tonight's Show, Saturday, July 31st: In a rebroadcast from 11/24/07, Ian Punnett talks with author and adventurer Robert Young Pelton about the rise of military privatization in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as in our own country. First hour guest Galen Cook discusses the D.B. Cooper case. From 6 - 10 pm (PT) on Saturday night, Streamlink members can hear an Art Bell: Somewhere in Time from 3/10/99 when Peter Novak spoke about the division of consciousness. | |

| Subject: Marian Apparitions: Tue Aug 03, 2010 6:04 am | |
| Weekend Edition August 2, 2010 coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio
Marian Apparitions:
On Sunday night, paranormal researcher specializing in Catholic Mysticism, Kevin Cook, joined George Noory for a discussion on various sightings/appearances of the Virgin Mary, including the Fatima incident in Portugal, the miracle cures at Lourdes, the mass witnesses and photos in the Zeitoun district of Cairo, Egypt, and the 1531 vision of the Virgin in Guadeloupe, Mexico. He first got interested in this subject when he encountered the strong smell of roses at a shrine in upstate New York (there were no roses there). According to the Catholic Church, this type of phenomenon is known as "the odor of sanctity."
With the apparitions of Mary, sometimes she is silent, other times she communicates with certain people, such as the young girl at Fatima. The apparitions or strange lights at Zeitoun began in 1968 near the Coptic Orthodox Church, and were seen by thousands. There was press coverage in such publications as Stern, Paris Match, and the New York Times, he detailed. More recently, in a small village named Medjugorje, six people or "visionaries" are said to receive messages from the Virgin Mary, and the Catholic Church has been investigating their authenticity. There is also a man in Brazil, Pedro Regis, who has posted predictive messages he says he receives from "Our Lady of Peace," and some of these predictions have been startlingly accurate, said Cook.
On occasion, demonic entities have created false apparitions to trick people, he noted. The genuine Marian apparitions express the underlying idea that God cares about us, and throughout various eras Mary has conveyed different messages for specific time periods, Cook commented. He also shared some of his research into other paranormal phenomena connected with Catholicism, such as Saints that could levitate, a deceased saint whose voice is still heard singing in a convent, and a statue of the Virgin Mary in Japan, said to weep real tears.
Rock & Roll Mysteries:
First hour guest, historian R. Gary Patterson talked about rock star deaths, superstitions, and occult connections. He noted that many artists actually sell more records after they die. He also touched on the 'Paul is Dead' controversy, and the ' Dark Side of Oz,' the odd synchronicity of pairing the audio from the Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon with the visual portion of the movie, The Wizard of Oz. Patterson announced that he will be part of a new radio show called Pop Oddity.
Private Military Contractors:
Saturday's show was a rebroadcast from 11/24/07, in which Ian Punnett talked with author and adventurer Robert Young Pelton about the rise of military privatization in Iraq and Afghanistan... cont.

| Subject: History of Voyager: Sat Aug 07, 2010 4:15 am | |
| August 6, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio History of Voyager: In the first half of the program, Prof. Stephen Pyne discussed the history of the Voyager 1 & 2, spacecraft launched in 1977. He explained that the concept for the program arose when NASA discovered that, every 176 years, the outer planets aligned in such a way that a single craft could pass by all of them. "That concept became so dazzling, it acquired the name 'The Grand Tour,'" Pyne said. As such, the space agency decided that they simply could not let such a rare opportunity slip past them and created the Voyager program. Making Voyager even more remarkable is, thirty-three years after their launch, the craft are still operational, traveling out into the solar system, and should remain viable for almost another decade. Pyne detailed one aspect of Voyager that continues to capture the imagination of the public: the Golden Record contained aboard both crafts. This veritable time capsule features information about the human race and Earth as well as serves as a literal record, containing a diverse selection of music, ranging from Mozart to the song "Johnny B. Goode." Looking at the origins of the record, Pyne noted that it satisfied a variety of different agendas at work behind the scenes at the project. He observed that the very inclusion of the record, championed by Carl Sagan, implies that there is life in the universe that could discover this message from Earth and its denizens. Additionally, Pyne said, it served as a way of coalescing mankind around one unified message. Calling it a "statement back to Earth," Pyne mused that creating the Golden Record asked the question "how do we wish to see ourselves" and, therefore, "it was a very appropriate and, in many ways, in spired gesture." Legend Tripping: In the latter half of the show, journalist and sometime ghosthunter, Jeff Belanger talked about legends and the practice of 'legend tripping' to paranormal hot spots. "A legend is a living entity," he declared, noting that such stories are born, grow, 'marry' or merge with other tales, clone themselves, travel, and even die if the story ceases to be told. To that end, he described 'legend tripping' as "getting out there and putting yourself into the story," thus experiencing, first-hand, the locations where sightings of anomalies like Bigfoot, ghosts, and UFOs have occurred. Imparting advice for would-be legend trippers, Belanger suggested they get a business card, which creates an air of professionalism allowing for easier access to locations, and to be extroverted, since the practice require networking to find the best stories or sites. Belanger also discussed unique aspects surrounding a variety of legends, including paranormal stories, religious traditions, and even tales created for children. On the mysterious nature of some legends' origins, Belanger cited the stories of magical, diminutive creatures which are found in cultures throughout the world and date back thousands of years. He theorized that either the story somehow sprang from the collective unconscious of humankind or "the creature was real at some point and people talked about it." Looking at the psychological component behind legends, Belanger talked about the tale of the tooth fairy that is often imparted to children. He observed that the story helps ease a child through the trauma of losing a tooth and also serves to connect parents to their kids via a shared tradition. "These things are more than just metaphor," Belanger said of legends like the tooth fairy and Santa Claus, "they really ar e magical." Today in Strangeness: On this date in 1890, at New York's Auburn Prison, axe murderer William Kemmler became the first person to be executed by electric chair. ' Prometheus,' the oldest known tree, was cut down by a graduate student on August 6, 1964. The student and his research team hadn't recognized the pine tree's extreme age-- estimated to be 4,862 years old. | Subject: Crop Circles & Energy Points: Wed Aug 11, 2010 11:21 pm | |
| August 11, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Crop Circles & Energy Points: On Tuesday's show, intuitive researcher, lecturer and filmmaker David Wilcock discussed his recent research on crop circles and energy vortexes. According to the work of Ivan Sanderson, there are 12 points (or ' Vile Vortices') around the Earth where ships and planes disappear, not just the Bermuda Triangle. Storms tend to begin in these areas, which also exhibit gravitational anomalies and magnetic fluctuations. These points, via particles and vibration, affect the geometric shape of the continents and the atmosphere, Wilcock detailed. This past July he traveled to England to observe crop circles first hand, including one formation that was octahedral in shape. While agreeing that some circles are human-made, he noted that researchers have found the soil under crop circles to have drier, looser consistency than the soil nearby. Crystals have also been found in the crop circle soil, which could only grow at temperature levels that would normally be much too hot for the plants to survive, he said. "The reason why these crystals are forming and the soil gets so dry is that the technology that makes these circles involves drawing water up out of the ground," Wilcock suggested. He connected the patterns of crop circles with the geometric processes of the Earth's vortexes. Further, some of the crop circles' symbolic messages have related to DNA change and soul evolution, as well as the downfall of the New World Order, he said. For more on Wilcock's work, check out his YouTube video channel, which includes his lecture 2012 Event Horizon. Winston Churchill & UFOs: First hour guest, UFO expert Nick Pope reacted to the news that Winston Churchill covered up a UFO event because he feared mass panic in the UK. The incident, said to occur during WWII, was revealed as part of Britain's continuing release of formerly classified UFO files. However, Pope pointed out that this report was more of an allegation, and there was little documentation to back it up. For more, see Linda Moulton Howe's Earthfiles article. Pic Fix: The Big Picture features a gallery of recent photos, In Silhouette, an outlining effect that can be haunting or evocative. Images include a jet flying in front of the full moon in St. Petersburg, Russia, and endangered Philippine iguanas inside a jar. Today in Strangeness: On today's date in 1934, the first federal prisoners arrived at Alcatraz, the island prison in San Francisco Bay. Though closed in 1963, the prison is said to be haunted to this day by ghostly presences. | August 14, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Weird News: During the first half of the program, George welcomed Buck Wolf ( book link), a senior correspondent at AOL News specializing in weird news, who shared some of the offbeat stories he has worked on over the course of his career. Wolf reported on a 60-year-old man, Gary Duschl, who has been building a chain of chewing gum wrappers since he was 14 ( article). The chain is now 12 miles long, twice the height of Mount Everest, he added. Wolf talked about his story on the New York Towers ( article), an all-dwarf basketball team. According to Wolf, the small athletes play on a regulation size court and have no trouble reaching the basket. Wolf has also looked into the peculiar things hockey players do with the Stanley Cup ( article). Wolf discussed the time he met with Julia Gnuse, recognized by Guinness as the World's Most Tattooed Woman ( article). About 95% of Gnuse's body is covered in an ink tapestry of 400 or so tattoos, only two of which she regrets getting, he said. In addition, Wolf recalled being cursed by a Wicca high priestess, his battle to unmask the original Bozo the Clown ( article), the time he accompanied the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, on his first visit to a synagogue ( article), as well as his 3000-mile bike trek across the United States. Wolf said one of the best experiences of his life occurred during that trip, when police in Spearman, Texas, booked him for vagrancy so he could spend the night in jail instead of sleeping outside in a park. Friday the 13th Open Lines: The last two hours featured Friday the 13th Open Lines. Mike, a former U.S. soldier in Austin, Texas, told George about his best friend Josh, who died while they were serving together in Germany, just two weeks before he was to be married. Mike said several years later a woman with psychic abilities approached him with an after death communication from Josh. The psychic told Mike that Josh had been watching over him as a guardian angel, ever since the funeral, and had prevented him from jumping off a cliff in Germany, as well as protected him from being blown up in Somalia -- two things she could not have known, Mike noted. Catherine from St. Louis, Missouri, shared the paranormal circumstances surrounding the death of a male high school friend. According to Catherine, the friend appeared in a dream one night and asked her to come with him. When she finally awoke from the dream it was 2:31am -- the precise time he had been killed in a car crash, Catherine later found out. Scarlet in Nashville, Tennessee, remembered a strange coincidence in Key West, where she was vacationing with her family. The power had mysteriously blacked out in their section of hotel for four minutes, she noted. Shortly after it was restored, Scarlet's family received a phone call from an aunt whose little boy had been dead for the same 4-minute period before being successfully resuscitated. Today in Strangeness: On today's date in 2003, a blackout hit the Northeast United States, with 21 power plants shutting down within just three minutes. 50 million people were affected, in some places for more than a day. August 14, 1982 saw Bill Neal paddle across the English Channel in a steel bathtub in 13.5 hours. Video Fix: Supernaturalufo.com has posted video and text concerning new DNA results from Lloyd Pye's 900-year-old Starchild Skull. Do we finally have proof of the Starchild's purported extraterrestrial origin? Tonight's Show -- Saturday, August 14th: Journalist Gary Matsumoto contends that the worst friendly-fire incident came from something no soldier had any reason to think would harm him: a vaccine administered by the military's own medics. In the first hour, Ian Punnett will be joined by Bruce Hood, cognitive science scholar and author of The Science of Superstition. | Weekend Edition August 16, 2010 coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio
UFOs-- Breaking the Silence:
In the first half of Sunday's show, George Knapp spoke with investigative reporter Leslie Kean about her research into the evidence for UFOs, and her new book UFOs on the Record, which gathers together testimonies from government, aviation and military sources. One of the testimonies is from Belgium Air Force General Wilfried De Brouwer who described unexplained sightings of large triangular objects that kept returning over Belgium from 1989-90. The United States has a different approach to UFOs than other countries, she noted, typically withholding information or offering inane explanations. This was the case in the 2006 O'Hare Airport incident, when a metallic craft shot up in the air and cut a hole through clouds, and the FAA declared it was merely a weather phenomenon, she detailed. As is being done in countries like France, Kean advocated for the US to set up a small agency or office dedicated to investigating UFO cases as they happen, making use of a network of scientists and experts in various fields. "Government officials have access to all the information that's needed to do a proper investigation," whereas civilian groups have to wait three months to file a Freedom of Information request to get data such as FAA tapes, she noted. Part of the mandate for such an agency would be to report their findings to the public, she added. ---------------------------------- Appearing in the second half, UFO researcher Robert Hastings talked about a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC that he and former US Air Force Capt. Robert Salas are organizing for September 27th. The conference will feature a number of former Air Force personnel discussing their first hand experiences of UFO incursions/tampering at US nuclear weapons facilities. Such incursions have also occurred at Russian nuclear sites. "This is a monumental story that has been ignored by the media...decade after decade," he stated. In the last hour, former Air Force officer Bruce Fenstermacher joined the conversation, and described a UFO incident that took place when he was the Missile Combat Crew Commander at Warren AFB in Cheyenne, WY in 1976. Hastings speculated that the interference at nuclear sites by UFO occupants could be their way of warning us that "we are playing with fire." A free excerpt from Hastings' book, UFOs and Nukes, has been made available on UFO Digest.
Covert Govt. Vaccine Experiment:
On Saturday's show, Ian Punnett was joined by journalist Gary Matsumoto for a discussion of his research into a dangerous anthrax vaccine that has been administered to U.S. soldiers since 1991, and which he contends is the cause of a host of maladies known collectively as Gulf War Syndrome. The experimental vaccine was rushed into production during the run-up to the Persian Gulf war because the military feared the existing anthrax vaccine would not effectively protect soldiers against Saddam Hussein's biological weapons, he explained. In addition, the pre-1990 vaccine required six doses over a period of 18 months in order to confer protection against the disease -- time the military did not have, Matsumoto noted... cont.
Today in Strangeness:

| August 17, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Earth Changes & Biblical Prophecy: On Monday's show, author and researcher L.A. Marzulli discussed his latest research exploring various events that he believes could be harbingers to the prophecy in the Book of Revelation: "When you hear of wars, and rumors of wars, do not be troubled for such things must happen. But the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes...and famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows." He listed a number of current disasters which he thinks could be tied in: the Russian heatwave/wildfires, flooding in Pakistan & China, and a sea-life die-off in Bolivia. He also pointed out there's been a recent bout of quakes higher than magnitude 7, and reports of a more devastating volcanic eruption to come in Iceland. "I'm alarmed at what I see. I've never seen the global atmosphere so charged, so uncertain...as it is now," he commented. Marzulli views the focus on 2012 as a deliberate obfuscation from the dire events happening right now. In terms of war, if Russia sides with Iran, we could see the fulfillment of Ezekiel's prophecy referring to the war of Gog and Magog, he noted. Marzulli went on to outline how the Antichrist will be associated with the rebuilding of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the forming of a one-world religion, as well as the instigation of a chip or tattoo that people will need to buy or sell. "I believe the whole idea of the extraterrestrial...is part of a coming great deception," he said, suggesting that so-called aliens are malevolent beings who spill over from another dimension to carry out a breeding program, and that their presence will be used to trick people into following the one-world religion. For more, check out Marzulli's blog. BP Spill Update: First hour guest, Capt. Kelly Sweeney shared an update on the BP oil spill. After the relief well is completed, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig is going to be brought back up from the ocean bottom and be used as evidence in a criminal investigation, he reported. In talking about other maritime issues, he noted that the ice melt in the Arctic is leading to more ship traffic in the waters above Canada and Russia, and possible new oil drilling there. Pic Fix: Check out Reuters' slideshow of recent photos featuring strange and unusual subjects. The gallery includes a kitten with four ears, and a man who buried himself in the ground as a protest against his local government. Today in Strangeness: On this day in 1908, Fantasmagorie, the first animated cartoon, a creation of Emile Cohl, debuted in Paris. Quake Lake was created on August 17, 1959 after a 7.5 earthquake struck southwestern Montana. | Subject: Robert the Haunted Doll: Sun Aug 22, 2010 11:39 am | |
| August 21, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Robert the Haunted Doll: In the first half of Friday's show, paranormal investigator Joshua P. Warren presented his report on an allegedly haunted doll on display in a Florida museum. Robert the Doll, as he is known, originally belonged to Key West resident Robert 'Eugene' Otto. According to legend, a disgruntled servant of the Otto family, also a Voodoo priestess, made the doll and gave it to Eugene in 1904. Shortly afterward many strange things began to occur in the Otto household. Warren said he was initially warned about Robert by a former Otto house caretaker, who claimed the doll could move on its own and terrorized him to the point that he began sleeping with a weapon. Others cautioned Warren not to photograph the 3-ft tall doll with coal black eyes without first obtaining his permission. The walls around the doll's museum display are plastered with letters from people detailing the bad luck that had befallen them after snapping shots of Robert without his consent, he explained. Warren, who did ask for (and believes he received) Robert's permission, described a chain of weird events that happened to him during and after his investigation. Only five out of the 72 3-D photos that he took of Robert developed. In addition, infrared alarm sensors, light bulbs, and internet service at his home malfunctioned, and his wife reported hearing mysterious voices from their living room. Warren thinks there is an energy surrounding Robert, as his tests at the museum detected bursts of electromagnetism around the doll. He also found odd stains under UV light, and suggested the Voodoo priestess who made Robert may have used blood in his construction. Warren said he considers Robert "the world's most haunted doll," and felt as though he was actually in the presence of a real person during the investigation. He surprised George by sending him his very own Robert the Doll replica. A caller phoned in to warn them that some of the real doll's energy may have transferred to the replica. Warren's trip to the museum, as well as his unexpectedly thrilling visit to the attic where Robert once resided, have been chronicled in a video blog at his website. George hosted Open Lines in the third hour. A special audio tribute to the late Laurence Gardner followed in the final hour of the program, featuring part of his interview from 2/18/08. Today in Strangeness: On August 21, 1879, apparitions of the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, and St. John were said to be witnessed by 15 people at the Knock Parish Church in Ireland. And on this day in 1989, the space probe Voyager 2 reached Triton, the largest moon of Neptune-- the only satellite in our solar system with a retrograde orbit. Video Fix: Examiner.com reports on a Texas UFO witness who recorded video of anomalous flying objects, emitting various colors, near DFW airport on Sunday, August 15, 2010. Is it merely a star or something more? Tonight's Show -- Saturday, August 21st: Richard Gage from Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and Dave Thomas, a physicist from New Mexicans for Science and Reason will debate the idea of controlled demolition of buildings on 9/11. | August 24, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Cancer Cures: Sharing his natural cures for cancer on Monday's show, Dr. Leonard Coldwell declared that every cancer is curable within 2-16 weeks. Stress is a major source of cancer (the malfunctioning of cells), and the disease is fostered when the body is overly acidic which makes it prone to fungal conditions, he explained. Treatments like surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation are more likely to make a patient worse, he warned. Further, he noted that cancer is the main money maker in the medical field, with $400,000 to $1.8 million spent on an individual patient from diagnosis to death. Among his recommendations for general health and for cancer sufferers: Cancer patients can take food-grade hydrogen peroxide drops mixed in distilled water or aloe vera juice. Hemp oil can be rubbed on skin cancer. Stay away from artificial sweeteners, refined sugar, and high fructose corn syrup. Don't drink milk. Don't cook foods in the microwave. Eliminate exposure to electromagnetic frequencies such as from cell phones, by wearing devices like the EP2 pendant. Put filters on shower faucets to reduce toxins. Websites awesomesupplements.com and helpingamericanow.com are good sources for supplements. A special site he set up to get more info: healthfreedomnetwork.com. Avatar & Dreams: First hour guests, director James Cameron and Craig Webb, of the Dreams Foundation, talked about dreams and the creativity process. In making Avatar, "I was trying to achieve a kind of waking dream state for the audience, and the 3D was part of that," as well as the use of flight and phantasmagorical images, said Cameron. Years ago, his mother had a remarkable dream about a 12-ft tall blue-skinned goddess/warrior, and he made a painting of it. "I was just swirling together a lot of things when I wrote Avatar," he added. Highlighted Site: Get a head start on Halloween with Creaturefy Yourself, a fun game on the Lost Tapes section of Animal Planet's website. You can upload your own photo, then mix in elements from such scary entities as Lizardman, Bigfoot, and the Werewolf. Today in Strangeness: On this date in 1873, an esoteric mystery of the Old West was solved when the first photograph was taken of the Mount of the Holy Cross in Colorado. Stories of the natural snow cross had circulated amongst settlers of the West for years and were the subject of much debate. Ultimately, photographer William Henry Jackson embarked on an expedition with the sole purpose of finding the Mount of the Holy Cross and succeeded in capturing the unique formation on film for the first time ever, thus proving its existence. | August 25, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio Ancient Egyptian Discoveries: On Tuesday's show, authority on ancient and prehistoric sites in Egypt, Robert Bauval, discussed the pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx, and evidence that the origins of ancient Egyptian culture come from a black race in the Sahara. He reviewed his groundbreaking theory that the pyramids were aligned to correspond with stars in the Orion belt, and that the age of the Sphinx is much older than previously believed. Interestingly, he noted that the Sphinx is not a created monument, but rather a large natural block that was carved. The temples on the east side of the pyramids at Giza are mysterious in their origin, said Bauval. The erosion of them is much more extensive than the pyramids, suggesting they are far older-- and they're built with enormous 100-200 ton blocks. To move blocks of this size without the wheel or pulleys is inexplicable, he noted. "It's alien thinking," to use such unwieldy blocks, and they probably date to an earlier megalithic era from around the time of the Sphinx, he added. Discoveries at a ceremonial site at Nabta Playa in the Egyptian desert include a stone circle/solar calendar dated to 6,000 – 7,000 BC, predating Stonehenge by thousands of years, he reported. One buried complex there has stones aligned to star systems like Orion and Sirius, the same as the Pharaohs. Bauval and Thomas Brophy (who appeared in the first segment) contend that the black Africans of this time period eventually moved into the Nile Valley and injected their civilization and sophisticated astronomical knowledge into what became Pharaonic Egypt. Exoplanet Analysis: During the first half-hour, Richard C. Hoagland commented on the new exoplanet solar system discovery. He noted that one of the planets orbits around its sun in just 1.8 days, and that we are beginning to see the diversity of conditions in which solar systems form. A NASA conference on new discoveries from the Kepler space telescope is scheduled for Thursday, he added. Highlighted Site: "There are pictures of things that should shame realtors and sellers into rehab. It defies explanation," writes Andrea Ball, the creator of a new blog, Real Estate Rumble, which features some of the strangest photos posted on the MLS to sell homes. Today in Strangeness: On this day in 1835, the Great Moon Hoax was perpetrated by the New York Sun newspaper. They launched a series of articles about the supposed discovery of life on the moon, which they falsely attributed to the well-known astronomer Sir John Herschel. Life forms were said to include such fantastical creatures as unicorns, and bat-like winged humanoids. | August 26, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio The Facebook Phenomenon: On Wednesday's show, senior tech writer at Fortune magazine, David Kirkpatrick discussed the origins of the social network Facebook from a Harvard dorm room to a worldwide, game changing cultural phenomenon. "It is probably the fastest growing company of any type in the history of the planet, in terms of customers," with over 500 million users, within just six years, he reported. The spread of Facebook is not at all limited to America, and has shown phenomenal growth in other countries. "It's the most efficient communications medium...we've ever had in that it automates the way we communicate with groups of other people," compared to email or phone calls which are individualized, he noted. Facebook is a technology company which has rapidly evolved, in contrast to MySpace, which has lagged behind in members and remained more of a content platform, said Kirkpatrick. Twitter, he noted, has a different type of business model than Facebook, with much of its communication functioning one-way, with large numbers of people just following one individual. At just 26 years old, Facebook's founder, Mark Zuckerberg, has a net worth of around $6-7 billion, but has remained pragmatic, and focused on growing his company even larger, Kirkpatrick detailed. A computer scientist/engineer, he started the company at age 19 with several fellow students at Harvard, with the focus originally on just college students. As Facebook has grown, it's been dogged by concerns over the privacy and security of its members' data. Interestingly, the police now routinely use Facebook as a tool to investigate and solve crimes, and targeted advertising on the site has been extremely successful because they can extract detailed information on its members, he added. Facebook members-- in case you didn't know, Coast to Coast AM has its own page, with nightly updates and lively commenting. Stem Cells & Heart Treatments: First hour guests, researcher Christian Wilde and Dr. Nabil Dib talked about stem cell trials and regenerative medicine. More than 2,500 heart patients have received stem cell treatments, and the results are very promising in the early clinical trials, said Dr. Dib. The two also noted that stem cells are much more cost effective for cardiac patients than such treatments as a pacemaker or transplant. Pic Fix: An intriguing photo taken by NASA's MESSENGER spacecraft, located near Mercury, peers back at our planet. The Earth looks curiously like a double planet, as the moon is so close, and comparatively large in size. A ' Double Planet ' seen from Mercury Link Photo: http://news.discovery.com/space/a-double-planet-seen-from-mercury.html Today in Strangeness: The Krakatoa volcano in the Dutch East Indies began erupting continuously on August 26, 1883, sending a black cloud of ash 17 miles high. The next day, four enormous explosions took place, said to be the loudest in human history, heard more than 3,000 miles away. Each of these explosions was accompanied by a tsunami, believed to be over 100 ft. high in places. Tonight's Show, Thursday, August 26th: Investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe will discuss dead seals being discovered with unusual corkscrew excisions, the origins of Earth’s Moon, the White Nose Fungus that has been killing off bats, and NASA’s opposition to Steven Spielberg's film, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. | |

| Subject: The Hutchison Effect & Antigravity: Thu Sep 02, 2010 1:58 pm | |
| September 1, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Streamlink Audio The Hutchison Effect & Antigravity: On Tuesday's program, experimental nuclear physicist Dr. Bob Koontz, and independent researcher John Hutchison discussed the Hutchison Effect, and such topics as antigravity, Tesla technology, UFO propulsion, free energy, and the Philadelphia Experiment. The Hutchison Effect "was an accidental discovery I made way back in 1979 when I was replicating a lot of Nikola Tesla's machinery...I was playing with this high voltage equipment and started noticing that certain things would happen like objects moving around by themselves a little bit," said Hutchison. "You cannot explain this effect with conventional physics," noted Koontz, who views this work as far more important than the Large Hadron Collider experiments at CERN. Koontz characterized Hutchison's experiments as highly sophisticated-- he used one-million-volt Tesla coils to create electromagnetic fields that induced scalar effects or antigravity-- such as levitating heavy objects, or turning metal into jelly. A kind of antigravity shield could be used in a craft or spaceship, Hutchison outlined. By canceling inertial effects, spacecraft could make sharp right turns, and through jumping into subspace or hyperspace, ships could move as fast as they want and not collide with anything, said Koontz. "It doesn't violate the laws of physics to produce free energy-- it's a zero point process," he added. Not unlike the purported Philadelphia Experiment, Hutchison said he's had samples disappear and reappear during tests. "I've had other samples where the steel itself is aging in time," for every day about 10 years ahead in time-- according to a study the Max Planck Institute conducted on one of the samples, he reported. Hutchison, who has a YouTube channel featuring videos of levitation and many of his experiments, said he is currently focused on developing free energy and new propulsion systems. SETI Update: First hour guest, astronomer Seth Shostak talked about SETI and the discovery of new exoplanets. Star systems known to have planets, and located far enough north to be picked up on SETI's radio telescopes, are definitely on their observing list, he noted. Video Fix: Appearing for a short interview on MSNBC, Prof. Michio Kaku talks about the reality of UFOs, and Leslie Kean's new book, featuring pilots and government officials going on the record on the subject. Today in Strangeness: On this day in 1859, a solar superstorm peaked with a massive coronal ejection heading directly toward Earth. Known as the Carrington Event, this powerful geomagnetic storm caused the failure of telegraph systems, and auroras were seen all over the world. On September 1, 1902, A Trip to the Moon, arguably the first science-fiction film, premiered in France. Tonight's Show, Wednesday, September 1st: For centuries there have been reports across London of strange beasts, misty apparitions and phantom assailants. In the first half of the show, Neil Arnold takes us on a supernatural safari of this concrete jungle. The weird journey continues in the 2nd half with author Deena West Budd discussing goblins, dragons, vampires, and other weird creatures of the night. | |

| Subject: New Jersey Cryptids: Wed Sep 08, 2010 11:22 am | |
| September 7, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Coast Insider Audio New Jersey Cryptids: In the first half of Monday's show, cryptozoologist Loren Coleman talked about his latest work on the Monsters of New Jersey including the Jersey Devil. The lore of the Jersey Devil goes back to 1735, when a Mrs. Leeds was having her 13th baby, and made a remark like 'the devil can have this baby.' The baby was reported to have a forked tail and could talk right away. It said some unkind words to the mother and then flew up the chimney and went off into the New Jersey Pine Barrens, he recounted. Over the years people have reported seeing a devil-like creature with horns and wings. In 1909, over a hundred people in the Pine Barrens area described seeing a creature like a flying horse or winged lion. In more recent years, what's called the Jersey Devil, is now described as more as more of a feral human/Bigfoot creature, Coleman pointed out. There have been numerous reports of Bigfoot-type creatures in New Jersey dating back to the 1800s. Coleman believes that Bigfoot is a flesh and blood creature, not a paranormal manifestation, and that it could be related to the paranthropus breed of hominids, thought to be extinct. He also discussed sightings/reports of a giant bird or Thunderbird in the New Jersey area that made a sound like "woo-woo-woo" and was said in one instance in 1975 to cause a bush to be sucked up just by the power of its wings flapping. Government Tracking: In the show's latter half, foreign policy analyst Craig B. Hulet discussed new rulings by the US government that infringe on people's privacy under the guise of the "War on Terror." In a recent incident, law enforcement placed a GPS tracking device on a person's vehicle, without a warrant. The court ruled that this was legal because the person's home wasn't gated off from the public, he reported. In another case, a woman was arrested and convicted for videotaping police making an arrest of her neighbor, he detailed. We're seeing that "more and more courts are ruling in favor of violations of our fundamental rights," especially our right to privacy, said Hulet. Body scans at airports, and other locations are actually being kept on file, when initially people were told this wouldn't be done, he noted, adding that such scans are even being done through vans on the streets. "Once a government has been given a certain amount of power, it always seeks more," he cautioned. Unmanned drones are now being employed for surveillance on the US southern border, and Hulet suggested that it's just a matter of time before such drones are flying over major American cities. In the post 9-11 world, Americans have increasingly traded their liberty for security, he lamented. Video Fix: Did a Dallas couple's nanny cam capture something paranormal? A video report form CBS 11 features footage of an unexplained tube of light moving across a child's room. Today in Strangeness: On today's date in 1813, the nickname for the United States " Uncle Sam" got its start. Samuel Wilson, a meat packer in New York, supplied barrels of beef to the US Army during the War of 1812, and marked them with the initials "U.S." for United States. Soldiers began referring to the food as "Uncle Sam's," and a local newspaper picked up the story. On September 7, 1927 inventor Philo T. Farnsworth and assistants successfully transmitted the first all-electronic television image. Tonight's Show, Tuesday, September 7th: In the first two hours, research scientist John Lott comments on guns and the banning of certain types of ammo. Followed by guest(s), TBA. | |

| September 8, 2010 www.coasttocoastam.com Coast Insider Audio Economic Analysis: In the first two hours of Tuesday's show, research scientist John Lott offered commentary on the economy, and also spoke about the banning of certain types of guns and ammunition. The EPA may ban traditional lead ammunition, but the kind of ammunition that would be allowed is less useful for self-defense, and reduces the accuracy of guns over longer distances, he noted. The US government's stimulus program may have actually increased unemployment and the standard of living for many people, he said, explaining that a person laid off in one field might not have the necessary skills to work in areas being propped up such as solar energy. Further, by stretching unemployment benefits up to 99 weeks, many people are searching for work longer, or not even looking anymore, he added. Stimulus programs are "moving money and investments into things people wouldn't have invested in on their own, as they weren't producing a good return," and because of this, our wealth is going to grow at a slower rate than it would otherwise, Lott suggested. For more, see his FOX News essay, You Call This a Recovery? Astrological Alignments: In the latter half, astrologer Mark Lerner talked about upcoming celestial alignments that will influence humanity. Here are some highlights: Starting this week, Jupiter goes back into Pisces for several more months. An opportunity for those with water signs to tap into Jupiterian benevolence. Mercury is in retrograde (which happens three times a year) until September 12th. The period of Mercury in reverse isn't entirely negative, but can be an opportunity to relearn or reevaluate things in our life. A Jupiter-Uranus conjunction (only happens every 14 years) occurs on Sat. September 18th. A spectacular time for anything that's cutting edge, highly scientific or metaphysical. Venus goes retrograde from Oct. 8th – Nov. 18th, and this can affect the emotions (particularly of women), making them more unsettled. America will experience its Saturn return (happens every 30 years) on December 3rd. Saturn has wonderful qualities like hard work and perseverance but can also represent worry, stress and depression. During a previous Saturn return period in 1981, the country had a serious recession, which may mean we're facing more tough economic times ahead. Video Fix: Check out this Spanish language video report about the crash of giant fireball in Colombia, which occurred on Sunday. The website hosting the video, ThirdEyeConcept, provides details in English of the mysterious event. Today in Strangeness: On this date, the powerful Hurricane of 1900 hit the city of Galveston, Texas, causing an estimated 8,000 deaths. On September 8, 1974, Evel Knievel attempted (unsuccessfully) to vault across the mile-wide Snake River Canyon in a rocket-like contraption he called the "Sky Cycle." Tonight's Show, Wednesday, September 8th: Journalist and science writer Julian Cribb will discuss the numerous threats to the world food supply which could result in worldwide famine by mid-century. | |
